Marie land crossings in Michigan — and the message was straightforward: delays are coming. The AAA forecasts a whopping 45 million Americans will travel between May 21 and May 25, setting a brand-new record. CBP is advising all travelers to carry valid travel documents, declare all goods including alcohol and agricultural products, and report any monetary instruments above $10,000. Transportation analytics firm INRIX projects the worst congestion on Thursday, May 21 and Friday, May 22, with peak delays expected between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on both days. Non-U.S. travelers are encouraged to apply for their I-94 online or through the CBP Link mobile app before arrival to help speed up entry processing.
